Bay Networks Instant Internet 100
1) Click the START button
2) From the START menu select PROGRAMS, then select INSTANT INTERNET, and then select SETUP. - If the Registration Information screen appears, click Cancel to skip it or fill out the various fields and click OK.
3) Under the INTERFACES section click the ADD button.
4) Click the ISDN button.
5) In the PROVIDER field use the drop-down arrow to select EARTHLINK NETWORK INC. (Note: Do NOT select EARTHLINK NETWORK PPP.)
6) In the PHONE field type your ISDN access number (POP).
7) In the USER ID field type "ELN/" in uppercase followed immediately by your username in lowercase. For example, ELN/username
8) In the PASSWORD field type your case sensitive password.
9) If desired, adjust the INACTIVITY TIMEOUT value. (Note: EarthLink's servers will automatically disconnect your connection after 15 minutes of inactivity.)
10) Click the OK button.
11) In the SWITCH TYPE field use the drop-down arrow to select your ISDN switch type.
12) In the SPEED field use the drop-down arrow to select your desired channel usage.
13) In the SPID NUMBER field type you SPID numbers for your ISDN B1 and B2 lines.
14) Click the OK button.
15) Click the SAVE AND EXIT button.
16) Click the YES button.
17) Wait for the Instant Internet to restart. This may take a few minutes.
18) Click the YES button to test the connection.
19) Wait for the Instant Internet to test the name servers. - If you receive an error click the TEST NEXT button.
20) When one or both of the name server tests pass click the OK button.
21) The Instant Internet is now configured. Open any Internet application to begin using it.
